New robot strategy to save South Jutland silo factory from several years of labor shortage
For several years, Tunetanken in Vejen city has had to prioritize both products and customers because there has been a lack of hands at the factory. Now the first robot has moved in, and this gives great hope for increased capacity and the resumption of exports.
“The employees almost stood and jumped as if it were a Christmas present when we rolled the robot into the factory. They have already received it fantastically well,’ says Stellan Carlsson, sales manager at Tunetanken in Vejen.
The company in South Jutland, which among other things produces tanks and silos for agriculture in fiber-reinforced composite material, has, in the words of the sales manager, been “crazy busy” in recent years.
