Oil and petrol separators are utilised to separate oil, petrol, and solid particles from waste water. These separators are instrumental in reducing the presence of mineral oils in sewers and purification facilities. They are commonly implemented at service stations, car mechanics, oil depots, and car washes.
The separation process is based on the principle of gravity and the differing solubility properties of water, oil, and petrol. As oil and petrol are insoluble in water, they will float to the surface of the waste water within the separator, allowing for the safe disposal. These separators play a crucial role in protecting the environment from contamination of waste water.
It works by directing contaminated waste water into the chamber of the separator where the velocity of the waste water is slowed, allowing for the oil and petrol to rise to the surface and heavy particles to sink. The resulting purified sewage water is then directed through the outlet to the sewage system.
Our oil and petrol separators are constructed using fiber-reinforced composite, a lightweight material that makes it easy to install the separator. This material is robust, tear-free, chemical-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
